Compassionate and crisis-tested Social Services Director and Board Member with extensive experience delivering critical care, rescue coordination, and long-term advocacy for vulnerable adults, children, and animals. Combines a deep clinical and operational understanding of trauma with years of hands-on experience supporting children and families through complex systemic challenges. A strategic leader who blends high-stakes emergency management with empathetic community outreach to drive program compliance, fiscal responsibility, and impactful policy development.

Our visionary Founder, CEO, and Private School Administrator, Santanecia, brings over a decade of dedicated experience to empowering youth, strengthening families, and leading Azyla’s Love INC. Her leadership is defined by a unique dual commitment to academic excellence and comprehensive family support. As a hands-on executive, she serves as the Program Manager for Azyla’s Love INC Education Center while simultaneously directing the daily operations and volunteer schedules for Azyla’s Love INC Outreach.
By combining meticulous administrative precision with a deep, trauma-informed understanding of youth development, she masterfully manages complex daily school workflows, streamlines faculty and volunteer schedules, and builds sustainable community initiatives from the ground up. Her executive oversight ensures that both the educational programs and shelter operations run efficiently, creating safe, transformative, and lasting environments where students and families can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Principal

Our distinguished Principal, Corissa Lewis-McBurnie comes with 23 years of experience in education. She is a dedicated school leader committed to helping every child learn, grow, and succeed. Holding a Master’s Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Corissa brings extensive experience in student development, inclusive education, academic instruction, and school leadership. Her passion is to creatie a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where students feel valued, educators feel supported, and families are welcomed as partners in education.

Kindergarten/ First Grade Teacher

Highly adaptable and resilient Educator with 18 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Possesses a comprehensive instructional background spanning Elementary, Middle, and High School ESE, as well as dedicated service within the Florida prison system. Leverages deep psychological insights to implement trauma-informed teaching practices, de-escalate complex behavioral challenges, and deliver highly differentiated instruction. Proven track record of empowering vulnerable, neurodiverse, and non-traditional student populations to achieve academic and personal growth.
